During the design process, Bachstein Consulting leans heavily into their internal machine shop to create rapid, functional prototypes. The prototype team at Bachstein Consulting has several crucial tools and methods at their disposal including but not limited to wire EDM, CNC Mill, CNC lathe, 3D and resin printing, heat treat and other surface treatments and laser, and traditional welding amongst several other critical manufacturing methods. The Bachstein Consulting prototype shop is used for validation for current design clients, as well as low-rate initial production during the industrialization process.

By ensuring that these processes stay in house, Bachstein Consulting can further their mission of a hands on, American made prototype process. Their team includes multiple full-time machinists and technicians.
