Barreda Tactical Manufacturing Solutions Books Business at Supplier Showcase

Barreda Tactical Manufacturing Solutions LLC, exhibited for the first time this in the Supplier Showcase at SHOT Show 2025. It was a great show and the machines at both of our Miami, FL machine shops are filling up with jobs from SHOT exhibitors and other clients both large and small.

The most frequent question at the booth was "What is your specialty?" And the answer is actually that we do not need to specialize. Our owner and head engineer, Mauricio Barreda, has over 30 years of experience in both running full service CNC machine shops, and in complex design engineering. He worked for the Mercedes Benz Formula 1 team in Monaco for over 10 years, and his clients in his subsequent private machine shops have ranged from American aerospace firms, to the medical device industry, to the Department of Defense, to even Mercedes Benz.

The water management systems in many of the hotels in Las Vegas where we all stayed for SHOT incorporate a device that Mauricio patented over 20 years ago, of which he has been the sole manufacturer. His last major product was a tattoo machine for women's eyelids. The Chinese company had prototypes that did not work very well, so Mauricio completely re-designed the machine, including the circuit board and components, and produced tens of thousands of them, which ultimately worked great and were very successful.

Now entering the firearm space, Mauricio has partnered with Paul Helinski, the founder of GunsAmerica.com, which was the world's first website for buying and selling guns, started in 1997. Paul has since retired from GA, but retirement was boring, so when asked to get involved with this project he jumped right in. In his first SHOT Show since COVID, Paul was able to reconnect with old friends in the industry, many of whom have already sent over an NDA to start quoting jobs. As a genuine "gun guy" and the first ever Youtube "influencer" covering SHOT, going back to 2009 in Orlando, the buzz got around that Paul was back, and in the Supplier Showcase of all places.

Both of the Barreda shops have an 07 Manufacturer and 08 Import FFL in place. All of our CNC machines are either brand new or recent production, and they are equipped with bar feeders for 24/7 production. No job is too big, as resources are in place to scale the operation from the current 7 machines to as many as 24 very quickly. Mauricio can turn your drawings into solids, and produce test products in resin, then aluminum, and then ultimately a working prototype. That can then transition into full production.

Difficult parts like pins are very much in Mauricio's wheelhouse and were on display the booth. After a decade of working in Formula 1, titanium is no more difficult than steel. This is why there is no need to specialize. Whatever the needs of the client, it is very likely that Barreda Tactical Manufacturing Solutions will turn out to be a most valuable partner.
