Rochester Precision Optics (RPO), a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced optical solutions is pleased to announce the addition of Les Hodges to its Business Development Team. Hodges is an accomplished Business Development professional with extensive experience in optics and night vision for the defense and commercial markets, making hm an invaluable addition to RPO’s growth within the night vision sector.

Hodges began his career as an R&D Engineer in the Fiber Optics group of ITT in Roanoke, VA designing and developing optical fibers for specialty applications for DoD and commercial customers and eventually evolved into the development of microchannel plates (MCP) for Gen 3 image intensifiers for night vision systems.

After 9/11, following his passion to support the Warfighter and Homeland Security, Hodges transferred into USG Business Development in relentless support of Federal, State, and Local Law Enforcement and USSOCOM providing technical support and night vision training to secure America through direct action and National Sales Manager for a vast tactical systems distribution network.

Following a storied career at ITT Night Vision, Hodges joined Carson Industries Night Vision as Senior Director of Business Development in support of USG EO/IR programs, DLA sustainment and foreign military sales while also fostering partnerships among multiple commercial night vision manufacturers.

In his new role with RPO, Hodges will continue to advance the requirements of night vision systems capabilities through improvements in the optical performance for systems integrators and USG prime contractors.

The RPO Team is thrilled to welcome Mr. Hodges and believes his extensive industry knowledge in the night vision space coupled with his passion for excellence will make him an ideal leader to drive the next phase of our growth and innovation within the night vision optics space.
